Danny Trio Glazed Ceramic Monkey Garnitures - 10 in tall A trio of mid-century glazed ceramic monkey garniture pieces featuring the incised mark of Danny. The set consists of a central seated figure and a matching pair of candlesticks, all finished with a colorful glaze and a prominent overall crazing. The central figure depicts an anthropomorphic monkey wearing a red fez, a white vest with blue trim, and light blue trousers, seated while reading an open green book. This figure is positioned on a pedestal decorated with a blue and white diamond lattice pattern. The two matching candlesticks feature central columns with a coordinating blue and white diamond lattice design, each with a small monkey in a red shirt and yellow head covering climbing the side. The candle cups are modeled in a fluted floral shape with a light blue glaze. All three pieces are mounted on dark blue bases?square for the central figure and hexagonal for the candlesticks?decorated with molded leaf and scrollwork. The undersides of the bases bear the incised name Danny above model numbers 142 on the central figure and 143 on the candlesticks.
