Dental Instruments & Supplies - This collection of dental instruments and supplies features a diverse array of hand tools and specialized equipment primarily from the mid-20th century. The assortment includes multiple pairs of extraction forceps, one of which is marked Oley-Bent and Germany. A Novol Porcelain Dissolver set by the Novocol Chemical Manufacturing Company of Brooklyn, New York, is included, consisting of its original light blue cardboard box, a graduated porcelain cup marked Novol Tablets - 1/4 oz with measurement increments, and a secondary porcelain component on a wire stand. Also present is a box for Asko Apex Broaches for root canal treatment manufactured by A. S. Koch and Sons of Lancaster, Pennsylvania. The collection further contains a metal aspirating syringe and a large quantity of stainless steel and plated metal hand tools, such as explorers, scalers, and probes. A small wooden block is included, holding several metal tool heads or burs. The instruments are constructed of stainless steel and plated base metals, while the dissolver set is made of white porcelain.
