Arts & Crafts Reverse Painted Landscape Table Lamp - An American Arts and Crafts style table lamp attributed to the Pittsburgh Lamp, Brass & Glass Company (Pilabrasgo). The lamp features a domed glass shade with a frosted exterior surface. The interior of the shade is reverse-painted with a continuous pastoral landscape depicting a stone grist mill and waterwheel nestled among a stand of deciduous and evergreen trees. The scene is rendered in a palette of forest green, autumnal gold, and earth tones against a pale yellow sky. The shade is supported by a cast metal base with a fluted central stem and a circular, lobed foot, all finished with a dark bronze-toned patina. The electrical components consist of a single brass socket with a pull-chain switch and a modern brown plastic cord. The word PRESS is stamped into the metal socket housing.
