Italian Grand Tour Brass 3-Spout Lucerna Oil Lamp - An Italian Grand Tour Lucerna oil lamp constructed from cast and turned brass. The piece consists of a scalloped circular base supporting a slender central column. A ring handle at the top is connected to the stem by a decorative cast hand finial. The central oil reservoir features three projecting spouts, with remnants of cotton wicking present in two. The reservoir includes a removable tiered lid. Three brass accessories are suspended from the font by link chains, including a pair of wick trimmers with a box for catching trimmings, a conical snuffer, and a wire wick pick. This style of lamp was traditionally produced in Italy as a decorative souvenir for travelers on the Grand Tour during the 19th and early 20th centuries. No maker marks or manufacturer stamps are visible on the object.
