Griswold No. 7 Slant Logo ERIE Cast Iron Skillet - This cast iron skillet was manufactured by the Griswold Manufacturing Company of Erie, Pennsylvania, and belongs to the Slant Logo ERIE series produced circa 1906 to 1912. The piece is constructed of sand-cast cast iron and features a traditional circular form with two integrated pour spouts. The underside exhibits several incised marks: the size number 7 at the top; a central circular logo with a cross containing the word GRISWOLD in slanted lettering; the word ERIE in quotation marks below the logo; and the pattern and mold mark 701 E near the bottom rim. The top of the handle is also incised with the size number 7 near the rim junction. The handle is tapered and terminates in a teardrop-shaped hanging hole.
