N.N. Hill Brass Roy Rogers Trigger Rocking Horse - This mid-century rocking horse was manufactured by The N.N. Hill Brass Co. of East Hampton, Connecticut, and features the likeness of Trigger, the famous horse of Western star Roy Rogers. The body is constructed from plywood panels featuring lithographed or screen-printed graphics on paper or thin laminate. The graphics include the name Trigger in stylized lettering and Western-style tack. The rockers, seat, and handlebar are made of solid wood painted red. The supporting frame and legs are composed of flat-bar and tubular metal painted blue. A blue plastic or vinyl bridle strap is attached at the mouth and includes two integrated metal bells. A circular manufacturer's mark on the side of the horse's neck states: THE N.N. HILL BRASS CO, HILL TOYS AND BELLS, EAST HAMPTON, CT. U.S.A., SINCE 1889.
