Sweet Cuba Tobacco Lithographed Tin Store Display - This is an antique lithographed tin store display bin produced for Sweet Cuba brand fine-cut tobacco. The container was manufactured by Spaulding & Merrick of Chicago, Illinois, and features a note on the lithography indicating that the stock was owned by Liggett & Myers Tobacco Co. The tin is designed with a distinctive bowfront curved face and a slanted, hinged lid intended for placement on a retail countertop. The exterior features a vibrant yellow ground with red and black typography. The top portion of the lid is marked 4 DOZEN 48 5 cent PACKAGES, while the lower portion of the lid is marked Sweet Cuba FINE CUT. The front panel displays large 5 cent price markers. Both side panels are lithographed with the company slogan THE KIND THAT SUITS.
