Pair Keen Kutter & Black Raven Miniature Axes - This lot consists of two modern miniature single-bit commemorative axes designed as tributes to iconic American tool manufacturers. The larger axe features branding associated with E.C. Simmons Keen Kutter. One side of the polished steel head displays an etched scene of a woodsman felling a tree, situated above four historical logo variations representing different eras of the brand from 1870 to 1940. The reverse side of the head features a deeply incised triangular mark with the text E.C. Simmons Keen Kutter Cutlery and Tools. The smaller axe is branded with the Black Raven mark from the Kelly Axe Manufacturing Company. The head features an incised square border containing an image of a raven on a branch, with Kelly Axe Mfg Co and Charleston, W. Va. U.S.A. text below. Both pieces are constructed with highly polished stainless steel heads and are mounted on dark-toned hardwood handles with a uniform grain and finish.
