Adlake H. L. Piper Railroad Switch Signal Lantern - An antique four-way railroad switch lamp manufactured by Adams and Westlake (Adlake) for the H. L. Piper Company of Montreal. The lantern features a cylindrical body fabricated from sheet and cast metal components with a black painted finish. It is fitted with four large glass Fresnel-style lenses, including two in signal red and two in blue. The top is equipped with a hinged vent cap and a tall wire bail handle. The side of the lamp body is embossed with three lines of text reading ADLAKE, H. L. PIPER, and MONTREAL. The base features a mounting bracket for attachment to a railroad switch stand.
