Dayton Fan & Motor Co. Type 367 Oscillating Fan - This is an antique electric oscillating desk fan manufactured by The Dayton Fan and Motor Co. of Dayton, Ohio. The fan features a four-blade design protected by a circular wire cage. The motor housing and flared base are constructed from cast metal with a black finish. A central brass badge on the cage is marked THE DAYTON FAN and MOTOR CO. DAYTON DAYTON, OHIO, U.S.A. and displays a graphic of a globe with lightning bolts. A brass identification plate on the base is inscribed with TYPE 367, SERIAL NO. 102811157, VOLTS 110, and CURRENT 60 CY. The base plate also indicates three settings for the control lever: OFF, MEDIUM, and LOW. The oscillating mechanism is located at the rear of the motor housing. The unit is equipped with a fabric-wrapped power cord terminating in a later two-prong plug.
