3 Metal: 2 Iron Floral Basket Doorstops & Clip - This lot features three metal objects including two decorative cast iron doorstops and a retail display clip. The first doorstop is a polychrome cast iron basket of flowers, identified as Hubley pattern number 152. It is cast with a hollow back and a half-round profile, depicting a wicker-style basket containing a large white rose, a yellow daisy, and small blue blossoms. The piece is set on a stepped hexagonal base and retains its original painted finish. The reverse side bears the incised mold number 152 at the base of the basket neck. The second doorstop is an unmarked cast iron floral basket with a dark-toned finish and painted highlights. This example features a tall, twisted handle and a more slender basket form on a tiered circular base. The floral arrangement includes a white daisy with a yellow center and a red rosebud. It is also cast with a hollow reverse. The third item is a retail price clip constructed of black-painted sheet metal with brass-toned circular grips. The front of the clip features stenciled yellow text reading NO. 7 s and 10 cents each. Below the number 7 is the partially obscured manufacturer name CECL. An incised character resembling an H or the number 11 is present on the right side of the clip.
