Antique Painted Wood & Wrought Iron Child Sled - This antique child's pull sled features a wrought iron or steel frame with integrated runners. The metal runners curve upward at the front, terminating in decorative scrolled finials, and are connected by a horizontal metal crossbar. The wooden deck is constructed of a single plank secured to the frame with metal brackets and rivets. The deck is finished in a dark hunter green paint with a hand-painted black pinstripe border following the perimeter. Centered on the deck is a hand-painted diamond-shaped folk-art vignette depicting a landscape scene with a black fence in the foreground, yellow and orange tones suggesting a sunset, and a blue sky above. No manufacturer marks or stamps are visible on the object. A modern white auction tag with barcode and the handwritten number 14 is attached to the rear right runner, and a small round orange sticker is located on the upper portion of the deck.
