WWII Imperial Japanese Yosegaki Hinomaru Flag - A few tears show along with weaqr. This World War II-era Imperial Japanese Good Luck Flag, known as a Yosegaki Hinomaru, is made of a lightweight white silk or fine-weave fabric. The design features a printed red sun disk, the Hinomaru, centered on the field. The flag is equipped with two reinforced navy blue fabric corners at the hoist, which retain their original cord ties for mounting. The white field is inscribed with multiple columns of hand-written Japanese characters in black ink. The main patriotic slogan, written vertically on the far left, reads (Ki Buun Chokyu), translated as Prayers for Everlasting Fortunes in War. The surrounding inscriptions consist of various signatures from well-wishers, typically family members and friends. Identifiable surnames among the signatures include Sasaki , Yamada, and Okada, written in a period-typical cursive grass script.
