Talcott & Loomis Studio Photographs, 19th/20th C - This collection consists of approximately 20 photographs from the late 19th and early 20th centuries, primarily albumen and silver gelatin prints. The items are mounted on period cardstock in cabinet card and carte de visite formats. Visible studio marks include several variations of Talcott, Talcott and Thomas, and Talcott Extra Finish, all of Ravenna, Ohio; M. A. Loomis of Jefferson, Ohio; and H. C. Holmes. The subjects of the photographs are formal studio portraits of men, women, and children. Specific imagery includes a family group portrait on a dark-bordered mount, children with props such as a tricycle and a bicycle, a young girl seated with a tea set, and various individuals posed against studio backdrops with furniture and rustic fences. One mount features markings for New York and Berlin.
