Chinese Beijing Cloisonne Altar Offerings Set - A set of Chinese Beijing cloisonne enamel miniature altar offerings, often referred to as a Five Offerings or Wu Gong set. This group consists of a tripod censer with a matching lid, several baluster-form vases, and multiple pricket candlesticks featuring central drip pans. The pieces are constructed of cloisonne enamel over a metal substrate, likely brass, with a vibrant cobalt blue ground. The decoration consists of polychrome enamel floral motifs and scrolling foliate vines. Structural elements including the rims, handles, tripod legs, and interiors are finished with a gold-tone gilding. The set is presented in its original fabric-covered box with a pink satin-lined interior and bone-style toggle closures. A label on the exterior of the box is printed with the Chinese characters ????? (Beijing Jingtailan), translating to Beijing Cloisonne, alongside the block letters MADE IN CHINA. This set was manufactured for the export market and dates to the mid-to-late 20th century.
