Bidspirit auction | Hermes Silk Scarves: Jardiniers du

Hermes Silk Scarves: Jardiniers du Roy & Cliquetis - This lot comprises two 100 percent silk scarves by the French luxury house Herm?s. The first scarf features the Les Jardiniers du Roy (The King's Gardeners) pattern, with a design attributed to Maurice Tranchant. The composition centers on a multi-colored floral arrangement in a blue and gold urn, surrounded by detailed vignettes of 18th-century gardeners engaged in various horticultural tasks. The central white field is framed by a floral vine border and a wide charcoal gray outer border. Markings include a decorative cartouche with the script Les Jardiniers du Roy at the bottom center and the printed mark HERM?S - PARIS in the bottom right corner. The second scarf features the Cliquetis pattern, designed by Julie Abadie. The graphic layout displays military sabre hilts and sword tassels in gold and silver tones against a black and white background, enclosed by a silver-toned chain link border. The name HERM?S is printed four times in bold black block letters, and the upper left contains a white block with HERM?S PARIS. A golden banner in the lower right corner bears the script Cliquetis. A black fabric care tag is attached to one corner, printed with 100 percent silk content and Paris - France. Both items are constructed with hand-rolled hems. Dimensions: 35 x 35 inches each.
