Baseball Memorabilia w/ 1928 Rule Book & Mitts - This lot consists of a group of baseball items including a rule book and three distinct leather gloves. The collection includes an Official Base Ball Rules publication from 1928, noted as adopted by the American and National Leagues and the National Association of Professional Base Ball Leagues. Also included is a Wilson fingered fielder's glove featuring the Streamlined Fingers design with patent numbers for the United States (2231204) and Canada (398340-1941) stamped on the finger. The glove is constructed of brown leather with a Wilson branded wrist button and back strap. A J.C. Higgins Trapper Model first base mitt, catalog number 1501, is present, featuring the Sears, Roebuck and Co. trademark on both a fabric tag and a palm stamp.
