Frederic Remington, Touchdown Yale vs Princeton - 23.5x 31. A framed color print on paper after an original illustration by Frederic Remington, depicting the Yale University versus Princeton University football game played on Thanksgiving Day, November 27, 1890. The composition portrays a dynamic tackle in the foreground with figures in early athletic uniforms, while a large crowd of spectators in period attire watches from behind a rope barrier. A printed signature reading FREDERIC REMINGTON is visible in the lower right corner of the image. The work is presented in a dark-stained wood frame under glass. The verso is finished with a black paper backing and includes a hanging wire. Two labels are adhered to the reverse: one for Crooked River Trading Company, LLC, and a descriptive label stating Touchdown, Yale vs. Princeton, Thanksgiving Day, November 27, 1890.
