Chinese Cloisonne Thousand Flowers Bowl & Stand - This large Chinese cloisonne enamel bowl features a low-profile, compressed globular form with an inverted rim and a raised circular foot. The exterior and interior are decorated with a dense mille-fleurs or thousand flowers motif, depicting a variety of polychrome blossoms including peonies and chrysanthemums with scrolling foliage. The floral pattern is set against a dark reddish-brown ground with a variegated appearance. A stylized fish-scale border encircles both the inner and outer upper rims. The underside of the bowl is finished in a vibrant turquoise-blue counter-enamel. The piece is accompanied by a custom-fitted, dark-stained hardwood stand. The stand features a circular recessed top and four cabriole-style feet joined by an intricately carved openwork apron depicting scrolling foliate and floral motifs. There are no maker marks, reign marks, or inscriptions present on the item. The white mark on the base appears to be paper label residue or a minor point of surface loss rather than a character.
