Pair Chinese Millefleurs Cloisonne Vases & Stands - This lot features a pair of Chinese cloisonne enamel vases of ovoid form, characterized by a tapering body, flared rim, and circular foot. The vases are decorated in a millefleurs or thousand flowers style, showcasing a dense, all-over pattern of various multicolored enamel blossoms, including peonies, chrysanthemums, and lotuses. The intricate floral motifs are defined by fine gilded wires set against a dark ground. The rims and foot rings are finished in a polished gold-toned metal. The interior of the necks and the undersides of the bases are coated in a solid turquoise-blue enamel. Each vase is accompanied by a dark-stained wooden stand with carved and pierced scrolling foliate motifs.
