Attrib. Gibbs Horse-Drawn Gig Animated Pull Toy - This animated horse-drawn gig pull toy features a flat-profile horse body made of wood with paper lithography applied to both sides. The horse is equipped with four articulated metal legs connected to the rear axle by wire rods, a mechanism designed to simulate a walking motion when the toy is pulled. The carriage is constructed from formed sheet metal with a seat area that retains traces of original red paint. The assembly is mounted on two large, multi-spoked wheels made of cast metal. This model is attributed to the Gibbs Manufacturing Co. of Canton, Ohio, and closely resembles their Pony Pacer toys from the early 20th century. No original manufacturer marks or labels are visible on the item.
