Indigo & White Cotton Delectable Mountains Quilt - 72 x 72 An American hand-pieced and hand-quilted cotton quilt dating from the late 19th to early 20th century. The textile features a repetitive Delectable Mountains block pattern composed of small triangular elements. The pieced sections utilize indigo blue cotton fabric featuring a small white discharge-printed geometric motif, set against a plain white cotton ground. The quilt is densely hand-quilted throughout with a diagonal diamond grid pattern. It is finished with a narrow indigo print fabric binding and a plain off-white cotton reverse.
