Antique American Red & White Striped Cotton Quilt - 72 x 80 This antique American quilt is constructed from cotton fabric and features a graphic design of alternating wide white ground sections and narrow red stripes. The textile is extensively hand-quilted with traditional motifs. The wide white bands are decorated with intricate interlocking oval chain-link or cable patterns, alternating with bands of diagonal diamond-grid quilting. The red stripes consist of three narrow bands of pigment-dyed red fabric which are also quilted with small-scale patterns. The reverse side is composed of a plain white cotton fabric, showcasing the detailed hand-stitched patterns and textures.
