Tulip Wreath Hand-Quilted & Cross-Stitched Quilt - 82 x 96 This vintage bed quilt features the Tulip Wreath pattern, a design widely distributed through commercial quilt kits in the mid-20th century. The white cotton ground is decorated with elaborate hand-executed cross-stitch embroidery in varying tones of blue and green. The centralized composition consists of a small oval floral wreath enclosed by a large lyre-shaped garland of tulips and foliage, tied at the base with a decorative blue ribbon bow. The corners are accented with matching floral sprays, and a continuous floral vine border frames the entire piece. The background is densely hand-quilted in a diagonal diamond grid, with additional outline quilting following the contours of the embroidered motifs. The quilt is finished with a narrow, solid light-blue fabric binding. Evidence of pre-stamped blue guide dots indicates the top was produced from a commercial kit, typical of makers like Progress, Bucilla, or Paragon during the 1940s through the 1960s. The reverse features a plain white cotton backing.
