Hand-Pieced & Tied Patchwork Scrap Quilt - 68 x 76 This is a double-sided vintage American patchwork scrap quilt, also known as a hand-tied comforter. The textile is hand-pieced using a variety of cotton fabric scraps, including mid-20th-century prints, ginghams, stripes, and small-scale florals characteristic of feed sack era fabrics. One side of the quilt features an eclectic arrangement of traditional blocks, including Churn Dash or Monkey Wrench variations, Nine-Patch, and Broken Dishes motifs. The reverse side utilizes a simpler patchwork layout of multi-colored rectangular and square blocks. Notable fabric includes a novelty print depicting a village scene with stylized figures, houses, and animals. The layers are secured with hand-tied off-white and blue yarn throughout the body of the quilt.
