The piece displays an all-over geometric pattern of interlocking circles, commonly known as a Double Wedding Ring or circular lattice design. The pattern is constructed using traditional chenille tufting, where rows of thick cream-colored cotton yarn are stitched onto the base fabric and cut to create a raised, soft pile texture. Three sides of the coverlet are finished with a knotted cotton fringe. The reverse side shows the structural stitching that secures the tufted pattern to the base textile.
