Dome Top 6-Bottle Wine Trunk w/ Iron - 14x14x9 This dome-top bottle chest is constructed from a honey-toned hardwood with a prominent grain and natural knots, resembling mango wood. The exterior features a barrel-shaped lid and is reinforced with blackened wrought-iron strapping secured by brass-capped rivets. A large blackened iron hasp is mounted to the front for closure, and matching iron bale handles are located on each side for transport. The interior contains fixed wooden partitions that create six square compartments designed to hold standard wine or spirit bottles. The trunk is supported by four small square wooden block feet. The piece is built in a rustic style, characteristic of contemporary decorative furniture modeled after traditional colonial treasure chests. No maker marks, labels, or stamps were identified on the piece.
