Syroco Rococo Revival Gilt Easel Mirror - 14x21 A mid-20th-century mirror manufactured by the Syracuse Ornamental Company (Syroco). The frame is constructed from gold SyrocoWood, a molded composite material of wood flour and resins, and features an ornate Rococo Revival design with scrolling acanthus leaf and feathered foliate motifs. The frame is finished in a heavy gold gilding. The reverse is equipped with a hinged easel stand for tabletop display and a braided wire for wall mounting. The back of the frame retains an original black and gold manufacturer's label. The label is inscribed SYRACUSE ORNAMENTAL CO. INC, Syroco Wood, REG U.S. PAT. OFF., SYRACUSE, N.Y. MADE IN U.S.A., COPYRIGHT.
