International & Empire Sterling Tableware - This lot consists of a varied group of silver and silver-toned table accessories, featuring items by International Silver Company and other manufacturers. The collection includes several pieces of solid sterling silver, notably a small tapered cup and a pair of faceted octagonal salt and pepper shakers. The cup is stamped on the base with the International Silver Company shield logo, INTERNATIONAL STERLING, and the model number P714-1. The faceted shakers bear a maker mark of the characters J and H within a diamond-shaped frame, followed by STERLING and the number 35. The assortment of salt and pepper shakers includes two pairs of weighted pedestal shakers: one pair in a Neo-Classical fluted urn design in the Empire pattern and a second pair with bulbous bodies. Also included is a group of small cylindrical shakers with engraved floral patterns, a single large pedestal shaker with a fluted base, and one small octagonal shaker with a heavily oxidized finish.
