US Military Korean War M1 Steel Combat Helmet with Liner and Unit Insignia - This lot features a US military M1 steel combat helmet paired with a removable non-metallic liner. The steel shell is a front-seam variety with a stainless steel rim, consistent with manufacture during the mid-1940s and subsequent issue during the Korean War period. The helmet is equipped with swivel bails and an olive drab green canvas chinstrap featuring a metal hook fastener. The exterior retains a textured olive drab finish and displays a blue shield-shaped unit insignia on both sides, which contains weathered white and yellow interior elements resembling the 24th Infantry Division taro leaf insignia.
