WWII German Kriegsmarine U-Boat War Badge by Schwerin Berlin - A WWII German Kriegsmarine U-boat War Badge (U-Boot-Kriegsabzeichen) produced by the manufacturer Schwerin & Sohn, Berlin. The badge is die-struck from a base metal alloy, likely tombak, and originally featured a gold-gilt finish. The design features a horizontal oval laurel wreath surmounted by a national eagle with outstretched wings clutching a swastika. A profile of a U-boat is positioned in the center of the wreath. The reverse of the badge hull is stamped with a two-line maker mark reading SCHWERIN / BERLIN 68.
