Bidspirit auction | UV Glass Marbles in Ball

UV Glass Marbles in Ball Mason Jar - 2 qt blue jar This lot features a large collection of vintage glass marbles housed in a translucent blue glass canning jar. The jar is a Ball Perfect Mason jar, featuring embossed cursive and block lettering on the front face including the word Ball and the phrases PERFECT MASON. The jar is approximately three-quarters full and includes a vintage zinc screw-top lid. The marbles comprise a diverse assortment of styles, colors, and sizes, including cat's eyes, swirls, solid opaques, and clear glass examples. A significant feature of this collection is the presence of multiple fluorescent marbles. Under ultraviolet light, several marbles exhibit a bright green glow characteristic of uranium glass, while at least one marble displays a bright orange-yellow glow indicative of cadmium or selenium glass content.
