Bidspirit auction | Set Coca-Cola Reproduction Tin Trays

Set Coca-Cola Reproduction Tin Trays - This collection consists of several lithographed tin advertising trays featuring various historical Coca-Cola motifs. The group includes three large vertical rectangular serving trays with faux-bronzed borders. Two of these trays are reproductions of the 1921 calendar artwork depicting a woman in a yellow dress and sun hat, while the third features the 1923 advertisement of a woman in a blue cloche hat and dress. A horizontal black serving tray with a yellow pinstripe border features three floral vignettes with portraits, identified on a reverse label as the Ladies with Pansies design. A red horizontal tray features 1950s-era billboard art by Gil Elvgren titled Drive Refreshed, showing a woman in a yellow convertible. The collection is rounded out by two small circular tip trays with green borders, one featuring a woman with roses and the other a woman in a white bonnet. Markings and Labels: The circular tip trays are marked along the lower interior edge with the text 1983 The Coca-Cola Company Manufactured by The Ohio Art Company. The horizontal serving trays feature original adhesive labels on the reverse identifying them as Coke BRAND TRAY and providing historical context for the artwork used. The vertical trays bear the Coca-Cola script logo and the notation REG. U.S. PAT. OFF.
