Vtg Gertrude Beauty Shop Wood Sign - 21.5x13. Tin with wood frame. A mid-20th-century hand-painted double-sided wooden directional sign for Gertrude Beauty Shop. The sign features a central painted wood panel set within a dark-stained, mitered wooden frame. Both sides are painted with black block lettering on a gray-toned background. Side one is inscribed GERTRUDE / BEAUTY SHOP / REAR ENTRANCE with a right-facing feathered arrow. Side two is inscribed with the same text and a left-facing feathered arrow. The frame is equipped with two iron screw-eye hooks at the top edge for suspension. The sign shows evidence of vernacular hand-lettering and construction techniques.
