The hinged lid features a central oval vignette titled Old Folks at Home, depicting an elderly woman and a young girl seated at a table sharing tea. This image is set against a mottled gold-tone background and framed by ornate green and yellow scrollwork. The sides of the tin are decorated with stylized lettering.
