A Group of US 1973 Kennedy Half Dollars - A group of US Kennedy half dollars dated 1973. Struck in copper-nickel clad copper, these coins feature reeded edges. The obverses display the inscriptions LIBERTY and IN GOD WE TRUST with the date 1973. The majority of the specimens bear the D mint mark for Denver, while at least one specimen features the S mint mark for San Francisco. The reverses show the Presidential Seal design with the legends UNITED STATES OF AMERICA and HALF DOLLAR. The 1973-S specimen was originally issued only in proof sets and not for general circulation.
