Kennedy 90% & 40% Silver Half Dollars - This collection consists of United States Kennedy Half Dollars minted between 1964 and 1976. The group includes coins of 90 percent silver composition (1964), 40 percent silver clad composition (1965 through 1969), and copper-nickel clad composition (1972). Visible dates include 1964, 1965, 1966, 1967, 1968, 1969, 1972, and the 1776-1976 dual-dated Bicentennial issue. The obverse design features the profile portrait of President John F. Kennedy, with several coins bearing the D mint mark for Denver above the date. The reverse design for the majority of the coins is the Presidential Seal featuring a heraldic eagle, while the Bicentennial issue displays Independence Hall in Philadelphia.
