8-Point Whitetail Deer Shoulder Mount - This is a taxidermy shoulder mount of a North American white-tailed deer (Odocoileus virginianus). The specimen features a mature eight point rack with four points on each side. The deer is presented in a shoulder mount configuration with the head turned slightly toward its left side. The mount is attached to a dark-finished, shield-shaped wooden plaque. A weathered metal band is secured around the base of the animal's left antler, stamped with the characters 2681, appearing to be a historical game or harvest tag. A modern auction lot tag numbered 71 is attached to an antler tine.
