5 Vtg Half & Half & Model Tobacco Tins - This collection consists of five vintage lithographed pocket tobacco tins dating to the mid-20th century. The group includes four Half and Half Burley and Bright tobacco tins and one Model Smoking Tobacco tin. The Half and Half tins feature a green, black, and cream color scheme with a diagonal banner and a red circular logo. The text reads A CARGO OF Contentment IN THE BOWL OF ANY PIPE at the base. These tins bear an incised patent number, PAT 2511634, on the top edge and retain portions of blue paper revenue tax stamps from Series 124 and 125. The Model Smoking Tobacco tin is finished in red lithography and depicts a man with a mustache smoking a pipe. It is labeled as Extra Quality and intended for pipe or cigarette use.
