Hickey & Nicholson Tobacco Tin & Pipe - This lot features a rectangular lithographed pocket tobacco tin and a miniature novelty smoking pipe. The tin is finished in a red background with ornate gold and black typography and scrollwork. The lid is marked Hickey and Nicholson Tobacco Manufrs Charlottetown P.E.I. The front and back side panels are labeled Hickey's Bright Cut Smoking Tobacco Manufactured by Hickey and Nicholson Charlottetown, P.E.I. A side panel includes a legal notice regarding tobacco tax compliance and identifies the tin manufacturer as Macdonald M.F.G. Co Limited Toronto. The included miniature pipe is made of finished wood with a black vulcanite or plastic stem. The shank of the pipe is stamped with text on two lines, with the bottom line reading BRIAR and the top line containing partially illegible characters.
