Adlake-Kero Canadian National Lantern - 9 in. This is an authentic Adlake-Kero railroad signal lantern manufactured by the Adams and Westlake Company. The lantern features a short-globe Kero design with a galvanized steel body and a protective wire cage. It is fitted with a ruby red glass globe, traditionally used by railroads to signal stop or danger. The top ventilator cap is embossed with the trapezoidal logo for the Canadian National Railway, featuring a C over an N. The bottom of the font is stamped with Adlake-Kero, U.S.A., and Canada, with dates 1921-1923. Legible patent numbers include 1515034, 1418859, 1560194, and 1415668. A yellow inventory number 72 is painted on the bottom of the font. The lantern includes its original wire bail handle and a complete bottom-loading font and burner assembly.
