Dietz No. 2 Wizard Penn. RR Lantern - 9 in. This antique tall-globe railroad lantern was manufactured by Dietz for the Pennsylvania Railroad. The lantern is constructed with a steel frame featuring a protective wire cage and a flared wire-bottom base. The top lid is embossed with the letters P.R.R. for the Pennsylvania Railroad. The chimney cap is embossed with manufacturer markings identifying it as a DIETZ NO. 2 WIZARD. The clear glass globe is also embossed with the markings DIETZ WIZARD and NEW YORK U.S.A. The lantern retains its original wire bail handle and contains an internal burner assembly.
