Gothic Revival Cast Iron Fire Tool Set - 24 in tall. A Victorian Gothic Revival fireplace tool set constructed of cast iron, comprising a decorative stand and a collection of three matching tools: a shovel, a poker, and a pair of tongs. The stand features a central vertical column decorated with architectural relief motifs and is topped with a circular-pierced diamond finial. The shaft is fitted with two horizontal brackets designed to support the tools. The stand is mounted on a substantial cast iron base with chamfered corners that functions as an ash tray, decorated with high-relief scrolled foliage and acanthus leaf patterns. Each tool is fitted with a matching ornate cast handle characterized by a double-arched frame with a central horizontal crossbar and a pointed finial. The poker terminates in a single curved hook, the shovel features a wide U-shaped blade, and the tongs utilize a simple scissor-action hinge. The stand appears to be cast in multiple sections and joined with mechanical fasteners. No maker marks, signatures, or factory stamps were identified on any of the components.
