Western Electric Candlestick Telephone - 11.5 in tall. An antique manual Western Electric candlestick desk stand telephone, identified as a 20-series model. The assembly includes a 323-type transmitter housing and a characteristic pony-style receiver. The upright stem and weighted base are constructed from black-finished metal, likely brass, while the mouthpiece and receiver shell are composed of hard rubber. The back of the transmitter housing features embossed patent information reading PATD - NOV. 26. 1901 - MARCH 19. 1907 - APR 14 1914. This manual model was manufactured for use with a separate external ringer or subset box and does not feature a rotary dial.
