Green & White Swirl Enamel Spittoon - 9x4.5 A two-piece enamelware spittoon featuring a marbled green and white swirl finish. The object consists of a deep circular basin and a matching removable lid designed with a funnel-shaped depression and a large central aperture. Both pieces are finished with a variegated pattern of forest green and white enamel, a decorative style often referred to in the collecting community as marbled or end-of-day graniteware. The interior of the basin is finished in solid white enamel, and the top rim of the basin features a dark blue or black accent line. The construction consists of a vitreous enamel coating over a metal base. No maker stamps or manufacturer marks are visible on the base or body of the objects.
