Kockums Jernverk Orange Wash Basin 1945 - 21.5x6 A large enameled steel wash basin manufactured by Kockums Jernverk of Sweden. The basin features a deep, rounded body with a wide, flat flared rim. The exterior is finished in a glossy orange vitreous enamel. The interior is white with a thin dark blue or black trim along the outer edge of the rim. The underside is finished in orange around the sides, transitioning to a speckled white and orange base. The underside features a blue ink stamp with the circular Kockums monogram above the numerals 33020 and 4-45, identifying the production date as April 1945. The piece is constructed of pressed steel with a vitreous enamel coating.
