Griswold No. 14 Block Logo Iron Skillet - This size 14 cast iron skillet was manufactured by the Griswold Manufacturing Company in Erie, Pennsylvania. The underside of the pan features the centrally located Griswold Large Block Logo, consisting of a cross within two concentric circles. Arched above the logo is the text ERIE PA., U. S. A. and the pattern number 718. Positioned below the logo is the size number 14 and the arched text CAST IRON SKILLET. The pan is designed with two integral pour spouts and a single handle with a teardrop-shaped hanging hole. A distinguishing characteristic of this example is the inclusion of three rectangular iron brackets riveted to the exterior side walls. The interior cooking surface is smooth and seasoned.
