Bidspirit auction | Trio AT&SF Railroad Sheet Iron

Trio AT&SF Railroad Sheet Iron Lamps - This lot consists of three early industrial and railroad fluid lamps constructed from heavy-gauge iron and tinplate, likely dating to the late 19th or early 20th century. The collection includes an industrial railroad shop torch featuring a horizontal cylindrical reservoir mounted on a central tubular pedestal, set into an oval drip tray base. The side of the reservoir is embossed with curved text that reads PATD MAY followed by worn dates, above initials for the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railway (AT&SF). The second item is a conical-bodied whale oil or lard lamp made of sheet iron with a wide base and curved strap handle, featuring a removable knurled screw-top burner with two tapering brass wick tubes. The third item is a petticoat-style fluid lamp, characterized by an hourglass-shaped body and a flared base designed for stability. It includes a loop handle, a double-wick burner assembly, and a separate filling spout with its original knurled screw cap.
