Set 5 Metal Institutional Signs - This collection consists of five rectangular embossed metal signs, constructed from painted or enameled steel or tin. Produced in an industrial or institutional style characteristic of the early to mid-20th century, each sign features raised block lettering finished in black. The background fields range in color from cream and off-white to a darkened tan. Every sign is designed with two mounting holes, located at each lateral end, with some retaining original metal grommets. The set includes signs with the following embossed text: NO SOLICITING, TELEPHONE, WASH ROOM, TOILET, and MANAGER. There are no visible manufacturer marks, stamps, or signatures on the front or reverse of the plates. Length: 10 to 12 inches.
