"Spring Rain at Gokoku-ji Temple" color Japanese woodblock print by Kawase Hasui published Watanabe 1937 measuring approx. 10.5" W x 15.5" H. Kawase Hasui (1883-1957) was a Japanese artist. He was one of the most prominent print designers of the shin-hanga (new prints) movement. This movement was prevalent from the late Meiji era until World War II, showing a mixture of traditional Japanese and modern western elements
